RAMEN | 松壱家 (Matsuichiya)

So ‘Iekei’ 家系 ramen is finally here in town. Arguably not the most popular name among them all back in Japan, Matsuichiya did bring along every single detail from Japan, from broth to noodles to even ingredients, leaving nothing to chances. Seemingly the most consistent in taste among all different ramen streams despite having different operators, quite a contrary to what the name ‘Iekei’ tend to suggests as in stressing the different ‘house’ taste to this Yokohama style tonkotsu-soyu ramen. May well be blended to some, this slightly salty yet balanced taste of tonkotsu-soyu is indeed to my liking. Open till midnight, the only regret is that it is on the wrong side of CWB to catch all the late night drinkers.
