IZAKAYA | イカセンター (Ikacenter)

Image

Arrival of a proper ‘seafood’ izakaya. This chain originated from Shinjuku brought along the ‘live squid’ and plenty of goodies straight from the Japanese fish market, thanks to its scale and network with national seafood distributors. The ‘omakase’ set was indeed of quality starting with a ‘Tsukiji’ quality sashimi platter, moving on to sake-steamed live oyster, all the way to some amazing grilled line-caught anago and much much more. The mostly Japanese ‘salary man’ clientele brought along some authentic izakaya atmosphere and basic but quality shochu/sake are served. Yet another great addition to the increasingly interesting Tang Lung Street of CWB.
